Linda Rice Chapman has been a member of the Florida Bar, in good standing, since 1987. She is also a Florida Supreme Court certified mediator for County and Circuit courts, Appellate courts, Family Courts and foreclosure actions, and a qualified arbitrator. She has served as an assistant state attorney under Janet Reno, and as an assistant city attorney for the cities of Coral Springs and Miami, Florida. She has also served as Assistant District Legal Counsel for the State of Florida, Department of Children and Families, and more recently as Interim City Manager of Hawthorne, Florida. In addition to her association with the law offices of Samuel A. Mutch, she remains Of Counsel for the law firm of Shooster & Kleinman of Margate, Florida, a plaintiff’s labor and employment firm.

Ms. Chapman is also active in her community. She is a past president of the City of Alachua Chamber of Commerce and serves on their board of directors. She is a Board member of the Gainesville Chapter of Habitat for Humanity and a member of the Alachua Lion’s Club. She also helped found and served as the volunteer coordinator for the Alachua Elementary School tutoring project for the past five years. Ms. Chapman also serves as the chair of the City of Alachua, Charter Review Advisory Board.

Her focus at the law offices of Samuel A. Mutch will be to serve the residents and businesses of Alachua and High Springs. Her areas of expertise include municipal law, labor and employment law and providing affordable legal services for day to day business activities concerning personnel, contracts, wage issues, and policy and procedure review.
