Sam Mutch attended the U.S. Naval Academy and is active in the local alumni chapter. He holds a master in city planning degree from the Ohio State University. He was on the Gainesville Planning Division staff for seven years, working his way up to planning director for the city. He also holds a master of public administration from the JFK School of Government at Harvard University. In 1992 he started his second career when he graduated from the University of Florida School of Law and became a member of The Florida Bar. Between 1996 and 2003, Sam held part-time positions with the cities of Hawthorne, Keystone Heights, Waldo, the town of Micanopy, and Gilchrist County as the attorney for these five local governments.
General law practice with emphasis on helping people with their
particular problems. Employment law, land use law, environmental
law, municipal law, education law, family law and probate are some
of the areas in which Sam litigates. Sam also does a general civil
practice in corporate law, probate and real estate development.
